In a previous article, I spoke about how important it is to focus on your niche market. But after knowing how important having a niche is, a natural question arises. How do you find your niche?

What’s interesting, is that finding your niche is the easiest part. How do you do it? It’s simple, you just choose one.

You might be thinking, hogwash! But let me explain why finding a niche is as simple as choosing one.

To answer this question, we first need to understand the goal of having a niche target market?

First of all, what’s the purpose of finding your niche?

Don’t forget why you’re trying to find a niche in the first place.

What allows the fledgling enterprise to win over pragmatist customers in advance of broader market acceptance, is focusing an overabundance of support into a confined market niche. — Crossing the Chasm by Geoffrey A. Moore

The goal of the niche is to help you break into a large market. So for example, a large market would be something like the travel industry. That’s a huge market.

The entire travel market though is made up of hundreds of smaller markets.
